I don’t get to shoot guy sessions a lot, and I’ll be honest, they use to terrify me. I was never good at picking the right location, posing them, or editing their images.
My job is to make EVERYONE feel confident. And I love pushing myself past my comfort zones to achieve things I didn’t think I could. So when I booked Aidan’s session I made it a point to become better at shooting dudes. I want to make them feel awesome, give them a similar experience as I do the girls (just less frilly), and give them images that show their personalities and not just cliche guy portraits. I practiced guy posing, found more ‘guy approved’ locations, and tweaked my editing slightly to give this guy portraits he would like. I LOVE THIS SESSION, and look forward to working with more dudes in the future. I hope you guys enjoy these images as much as I do :)
